Thanks
goes out to…
Hollywood
Private Hospital. The CEO and staff have been extremely
supportive, providing us with a phone line, and a base to run
meetings and events. They have organised speakers for seminars and
information sessions, and given sponsorship and funding for special
events. We look forward to working alongside this fantastic team in
2006.
Vietnam
Veterans Counselling Service have helped us by organising
mail
outs for events; funding for our 2003 Brunch, and will often supply
beverage refreshments for our information evenings.
Vietnam
Veterans Association Inc. (WA Branch) have helped to keep us
positive with plenty of moral support. The association president and
a number of committee members have been guest speakers at information
evenings and coffee mornings; they have helped us make contact with
other veteran groups and associated services; invited and supported
KV team members to participate in veteran ceremonies, and have
allowed us access to ANZAC Cottage for the running of KV events.
2005
has also seen them generously offer to cover our office costs i.e.:
photocopying, printing, and mail-outs and help fund our KV Brunch in
Kings Park. We look forward to working with this fantastic
association in 2006.
Totally
or Partially Incapacitated Association (WA Branch) have also
given us plenty of moral support, and generously helped fund our
Brunch in 2003 and 2005. They are continuing to support the team this
year by offering to fund special events.
BnB Services Fiona offered her
services when she heard that KV was in need of an internet presence.
Fiona is the daughter of a Vietnam Veteran, and is the sister of a KV
Committee Member. Fiona pops up at KV meetings and picnics too! She is a mum of 2 and is currently studying at
university as well as tutoring and actively participating in community
service. Fiona enjoys graphic design, web design, political science and
history.
Multiline Internet (Perth, WA)
who are generously hosting the KV domain. Graeme is one of the
few owner operator ISP's in Perth, and offers personalised service as
well as fair rates. As soon as word got out that KV was looking
for someone to host our website, Graeme didn't hesitate to offer
Multiline's services, for which we are so grateful. This site
wouldn't exist without the generosity of those at Multiline Internet.
We
believe there is a need for Kids of Veterans in the community, and we
want to continue for many years to come. The steps we have taken so
far are small, and as a group of unfunded volunteers we will always
strive to do the best with the resources we have. At times the team
hits a negative low and it can sometimes feel like we’re
always
‘hitting brick walls’ or ‘stepping on
mine fields’. However,
we know with your continuing support the KV team can only go on to
bigger and better things.
